Congratulations on being elected/appointed to an AOTA leadership position! There are a few steps you are required to complete prior to the official start of your term of office. Please carefully review the information below to ensure you have completed all requirements. 

Step 1:  Read/review the following governance documents:

  • Bylaws
  • Policy Manual
    • Policy A.7 – Censure (page 8)
    • Policy A.8 – Removal & Appeal  (page 9)   
    • Policy A.9 - Social Media Posting Guidelines for Volunteers (page 10)
    • Policy A.13 – Conflict of Interest (page 15)
    • Policy A.28 – Consent to Serve (page 32)
  • Code of Ethics
  • Administrative SOPs
  • Volunteer Leadership Development Committee SOP Attachment C – Statement on Neutrality

Step 2: Complete the following forms:

  • Consent to Serve Form
  • Conflict of Interest Form
    • IMPORTANT.  A Conflict of Interest Form is required of all active volunteers during a term on a volunteer group.  A new form must be completed each year during a volunteer’s term and when one’s conflict status changes in the interim.
  • Confidentiality Agreement
  • Volunteer Roster Form (for volunteers starting a new term)
